05 Oct Modern Loft Backpacker Hostel @ Hong Kong Street
A backpacker accommodation need not be drab and boring.
Keeping the demographics in mind, a youthful black and white theme is incorporated here adding a fresh perspective to this conventional hostel-type accommodation. With large checkerboard floor and minimalistic lighting, the look is clean and simple, yet stylish and attractive.
The entire sleeping-in space is divided into functional sections, each with loft-style bedding, maximising space utilisation. A double bed sits on an elevated platform on the ground level. More beds are accommodated on the loft above. There’s also a built-in table with two chairs creating a handy computer/study nook. Extra-long sheer curtains provide privacy.
On the other end of the hallway, a common recreation area is created featuring several built-in wall cabinets, a built-in bench and a built-in table with matching seats where computers are set-up.
The large eating-in area is simple and functional with nesting tables in wood and black finish, and seats. There are plenty of cabinets built in here too. The toilets and bathrooms have black doors against a grey textured wall.
