One of the main goals for the designer here was to create an optical illusion of an apartment that looks bigger than it actually is. With that in mind, going for neutral and light colors is a must.
But one of the biggest tricks in his sleeve was a false ceiling with lighting, an effect that adds depth to the room, making it look bigger. The designer uses the same effect both in the living area, and in the dining area.
Another way to make a room look bigger is to stick to minimalistic style, with a prominent element to attract attention. Enter a TV feature wall with neutral colors, and black dramatic frame around it.
In the kitchen, the designer uses a brick like effect to combine it with the white furnishing of the kitchen elements. The gray quarts counter top is what brings the two together.
For the master bedroom, the designer proposes two options, with a false ceiling and without.
